On the road: Houston & back to Tampa
Saturday, April 24th, 2010Tuesday evening of this past week found me on the late afternoon flight to Houston to attend the Wednesday morning meeting of IATA’s LAPB (live animal & perishable board), the airlines committee governing the acceptance and transport of live animals on the scheduled passenger airlines and all cargo carriers.
With business tended to in the morning, a tour of NASA’s Space Center in the spring afternoon was most delightful.
A rushed taxi’s return to the Houston airport had me on the flight back to Tampa and home.
Note: Houston’s hotels were fully booked with European travelers waiting for the skies to clear of volcanic ash.
