“No quarantine for pets entering Japan.” Sounds fantastic! Yet there are a myriad of details to attend to before the dog, the cat, or the ferret are ready to leave the USA for their flight to Japan.

• the blood draw for the FAVN-OIE Rabies antibody test within the appropriate timeframe

The Japanese Ministry’s protocol and procedure allows for dogs, cats and ferrets to enter Japan quarantine-free as long as one follows the protocol covering a period of typically seven (7) months from start to finish.
