Relocating to Singapore is an exciting adventure, and your pet deserves to be part of it. Let us manage your pet's move to Singapore with expertise and care, so you can focus on the rest of your journey.
For pet shipping from the United States to Singapore, your Air Animal Move Manager brings the veterinary schedule, Singapore licences, paperwork, flight, and arrival arrangements into one plan. Singapore currently lists the United States in Schedule II; its rabies blood-test window means planning should start several months ahead. Singapore Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS)
Air Animal's Singapore pet relocation service
Air Animal handles the U.S.-to-Singapore moving details covered by your proposal, from preparation through arrival. Your Move Manager can:
- Build a route-specific timeline around the rabies test, veterinary certificate, licence, and flight deadlines.
- Work with your veterinarian on microchip, vaccination, blood-test, treatment, and health-certificate records, and coordinate submission for USDA endorsement.
- Manage the Singapore import-licence process, prepare travel documentation, and arrange the required inspection, airline declaration, and quarantine plan when applicable.
- Arrange air and ground travel and help with travel-crate sizing, acclimation, and handoffs at each end of the move.
You provide your pet's existing records and the owner travel and residence evidence Singapore may request. Veterinarians perform the medical procedures; USDA endorses applicable certificates; and Singapore's AVS decides import and quarantine eligibility. Air Animal coordinates those steps with you. See Air Animal's international service options, from airport-to-airport to residence-to-residence, and request a proposal that names your move's inclusions.
Can my pet live in Singapore?
Check import eligibility and housing rules before booking a flight. Singapore bars specified dog breeds and their crosses, plus first- through fourth-generation Bengal and Savannah cat crosses. Residence type also affects how many and which dogs or cats may be kept. The current Schedule II conditions generally require the pet to have lived in the exporting country or another Schedule I or II country for at least six months before export, or since birth. A permitted import does not by itself establish that a particular home can keep the animal. Singapore AVS · Schedule II veterinary conditions
What are the U.S.-origin entry requirements?
Your Move Manager works through these requirements with you and your veterinarian, tracks the deadlines, and helps collect the documents Singapore will inspect:
- Identify the pet and check age. The dog or cat must be at least 12 weeks old at export and have an ISO-compliant microchip recorded on its vaccination and treatment documents. Singapore AVS
- Complete rabies vaccination and serology. Keep a valid rabies vaccination. For Schedule II pets, AVS generally requires the antibody sample at least 28 days after the primary rabies vaccination and at least 90 days but no more than 12 months before export; the result must be at least 0.5 IU/ml from a laboratory accepted by AVS. AVS describes a different timing allowance for an uninterrupted booster history, so confirm the pet's record before scheduling the blood draw. Keep vaccination valid through the move. Singapore AVS · Schedule II veterinary conditions
- Keep core vaccines current. AVS lists canine distemper, adenovirus type 1, and parvovirus type 2 for dogs; feline calicivirus, herpesvirus-1, and panleukopenia for cats. The Schedule II certificate calls for these vaccinations at least 14 days before export. Records must identify the animal and vaccination. Singapore AVS · Schedule II veterinary conditions
- Choose the right quarantine and licence route. Obtain the dog or cat licence before applying for the import licence. Determine whether the move qualifies as a personal import without quarantine, a personal import requiring home quarantine, or a commercial import requiring facility quarantine. Do not assume a U.S. origin alone grants an exemption. Singapore AVS
- Complete clearance arrangements. Apply for the import licence and check whether a Singapore Customs permit is required for the owner's circumstances. The Schedule II certificate calls for internal and external parasite treatments between two and seven days before export and a final veterinary examination and certificate no more than seven days before export; obtain official endorsement. Arrange the airline captain/authorised-staff declaration. Book the border inspection at least five working days before arrival; pets arriving by air are inspected at Changi's Animal and Plant Quarantine Station. Will my pet be quarantined in Singapore?
A Schedule II personal pet does not need post-arrival quarantine if it enters Singapore less than five days from the owner's entry and has continuously lived at the same residential address as the owner for more than six months, with supporting records. A personal import that misses those conditions requires a minimum 10-day home quarantine; a pet imported under a commercial import licence requires at least 10 days at the Animal Quarantine Centre. AVS makes the eligibility decision based on the application and evidence. Singapore AVS
Air Animal can review the travel and residence evidence with you early, then plan the arrival and any quarantine booking around the outcome AVS approves.
What should I do after my pet arrives?
Once your pet is released, establish care with a veterinarian in Singapore and keep its rabies and other vaccinations, local licence, and housing arrangements current.
What affects the cost of pet relocation to Singapore?
Your Air Animal proposal is built around your pet, route, and chosen service level. Costs may include veterinary care, rabies testing, vaccinations, parasite treatments, health-certificate and USDA endorsement charges, Singapore licences or customs charges, a travel crate, airline transport, and border handling. Home monitoring or facility quarantine adds cost when required. Ask for a detailed quote showing the Air Animal service, each transport handoff, and which government, veterinary, airline, and quarantine charges are included. Singapore pet relocation questions
When should I start moving my dog or cat to Singapore?
Start several months before your intended flight. For a Schedule II pet, the rabies antibody sample generally must be taken at least 90 days before export, and the vaccination history affects when the sample can be drawn. Air Animal can build the veterinary, licence, flight, and inspection deadlines into your move plan. Singapore AVS
Does a U.S. pet automatically avoid quarantine?
No. The no-quarantine path is for qualifying personal imports with the owner-entry timing and shared-residence evidence. Other Schedule II personal imports face at least 10 days of home quarantine; commercial imports face facility quarantine. Singapore AVS
Can I apply for the import licence before getting a cat or dog licence?
No. AVS directs importers to obtain the dog or cat licence first. Singapore AVS
Does this cover birds, small mammals, or a pet coming from another country?
No. Species and exporting-country categories have different rules. Check the corresponding AVS process. Singapore AVS
