Pet entry into Hong Kong is controlled by both an import permit and a booked air cargo shipment.

Country-specific microchip identification
Proof of Rabies immunization at least 30 days before and not more than 1 year before entry into Hong Kong
All other vaccinations must be completed at least 14 days before entering Hong Kong
The international health certificate (the VC-9R) must be issued within 14 days of entry by an accredited veterinarian and endorsed for export by the USDA

After you move:

Please register with a local veterinarian to keep your pet's rabies vaccination up to date. Veterinarians typically send reminder notices when vaccinations are due. If another move is in your future, you and your pet will be ready.
