- Ensure pets have a microchip for identification.
- Verify that pets have the necessary, up-to-date health records and vaccinations for the destination region.
- Manage or coordinate necessary blood tests, treatments, or veterinary procedures required by the destination region.
- Handle the import permit application process and official USDA declarations.
- Understand and plan for destination required quarantine periods with accredited facilities.
- Prepare and endorse health certificates through the USDA.
- Coordinate both domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Issue required travel documentation.
- Assist with travel crate sizing, acclimation and preparation.

After you move:
Please register with a local veterinarian to keep your pet's rabies vaccination up to date. Veterinarians typically send reminder notices when vaccinations are due.
Also consider having your U.S. veterinarian run a complete blood count, a differential and chem panel on your dog or cat before moving. Take the report with you to share with your new veterinarian. If another move is in your future, you and your pet will be ready.
